Insurance & Private Pay
We are dedicated to transparent billing and accessible care. Our goal is to ensure your path to wellness is supported by clear financial options, allowing you to focus fully on your mental health journey.
Are we in your insurance Network?
We aim to make high-quality mental health care as accessible as possible. Golden Hour Wellness is working on becoming in-network with several major insurance providers, allowing you to focus on your healing journey without the added stress of complex billing.
If you have a different provider, we can provide you with monthly statements (superbills) to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Can I still be seen if my insurance is out of network?
We believe that high-quality mental health care should be centered around your unique needs. While we may not be in-network with all providers, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that can significantly cover the cost of your treatment. This path allows you the flexibility to choose a provider who truly aligns with your goals and personal journey toward healing.
- Check your insurance policy for out-of-network mental health coverage details.
- Pay the standard private rate for your clinical sessions at the time of care.
- We will provide you with a monthly superbill — a detailed medical receipt — for your submission.
- Your insurance carrier will typically process your claim and issue reimbursement directly to you.
- Or use your HSA or FSA to pay for care directly
Careful Transparency & Private Pay Options
We believe that choosing the right path for your mental health should be straightforward and supportive. If you are not using insurance, we offer clear per-session rates to ensure your focus remains on healing and growth.
We can provide you with a Good Faith Estimate and a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance.
- Initial Consultation (60 mins) — $275
- Therapy (50 mins) — $175
- Therapy & Medication Management (50 mins) — $200
- Medication Mangement Follow-up Session (30 mins) — $150
Accessible Care
We are committed to making care accessible. A limited number of sliding scale slots are available for those experiencing extreme financial hardship. These will be considered on a individual basis. Please reach out to discuss these options to Jen@golden-hourwellness.com
Billing & Payments
Payment Methods & Insurance
We aim to make the insurance process as gentle as possible. As a new practice, we are working on becoming in-network with multiple insurance companies. Headway will be handling billing for patients using insurance. You will create a secure Headway account to pay co-pays. For those out of network or utilizing private pay, we accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA funds. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your specific mental health benefits before our first session.
Timing and Process
To maintain a focused and restorative clinical environment, co-pays and private fees are processed at the time of session. This automated approach allows us to prioritize our human connection and your clinical goals without secondary administrative tasks intruding on your therapeutic time.
Cancellation & Missed Appointments
We value the commitment you make to your wellness. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations so we can offer that time to others in need of care. Missing an appointment or providing less than 24 hours' notice will result in a cancellation fee. This helps us remain available and present for all our clients.
Insurance & Billing FAQs
Do you accept insurance for mental health services?
We will be in the near future. We are currently working on becoming in-network with major providers. We are continuously working to expand our network to better serve our clients. Check the list frequently for updates.
What is the difference between Insurance and Private Pay?
Insurance pay uses your health plan benefits to cover costs, often requiring a copay. Private pay allows for greater privacy and flexibility in treatment without the need for a clinical diagnosis on permanent insurance records.
How can I be seen if my insurance is not in network?
If we are not in-network with your provider, we can provide you with a 'Superbill'—a specialized invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Check your plan to see if it includes out-of-network coverage.
How are billing and payments handled?
All billing is managed through a secure electronic portal. If you use insurance, the billing is handled by Headway. You can easily add a payment method, view statements, and pay balances online. We accept major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
